General Restrictions for Travel and Visit eVisa
- You are not allowed to work in any capacity.
- You cannot take part in any business or commercial activities.
- Your stay cannot exceed 30 days.
- If you stay longer than allowed, you may have to pay fines or face immigration penalties.
- Any extensions, if permitted, must be handled with the Lao immigration authorities.
Documents Requirements for Both eVisa Types
The Laos eVisa Requirements are straightforward and the same for both types of eVisa. You only need to submit basic identification documents; no extra paperwork is required.
Documents to Be Submitted:
- Passport Bio-page
- Applicant’s Recent Photograph
Although additional documentation is not required during submission, travellers may still be asked to present relevant travel details upon arrival.
Make sure all your uploaded documents are clear and complete. Unclear or incorrect files can delay your application.
Note: Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your planned arrival in Laos.

The Laos eVisa is valid only at designated checkpoints approved by the Lao immigration authorities. To enter the country, you must arrive through one of the airports, land borders, or railway checkpoints listed below:

Be sure to bring a printed copy of your approved eVisa and the same passport you used to apply. If your passport details do not match your eVisa, you may be denied entry.
