Does faster processing affect approval decisions?
No. Choosing Rush or Super Rush only speeds up the processing of the application. The decision still depends on the applicant meeting the requirements and providing accurate information and documents.
Lao eVisa Fee Structure
The total cost of the Lao eVisa consists of 3 mandatory charges and 1 optional charge.
Visa Cost
Cost charged by the Lao immigration system for issuing the eVisa.
Service Fee
Covers application assistance, document verification, identification of errors before submission, and support throughout the processing.
Expedited Processing Fee
This fee is only charged if the applicant selects the rush or super-rush processing option.
Are both the visa cost and service fee mandatory to pay?
Yes. The applicant is required to pay both fees.
Total Payable = Visa Cost + Service Fee + Rush or Super-Rush Processing Fee (added only if faster processing is selected)
The total amount shown before payment is the final amount payable. No additional charges will be added later.

How is the Visa Fee Paid?
Follow these steps;
Step 1: Fill out the Laos Visa Application Form
Provide passport and travel details, choose a processing option, and upload the required documents.
Step 2: Pay the Visa Fee
The fee can be paid using a credit or debit card or other accepted payment methods. Once the fee is paid, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant.
Step 3: Receive Approval
The approved eVisa will be delivered to the applicant's email ID. The applicant is required to print a copy of the approved eVisa for travelling.
Payment Requirements
Payment is completed online at the final submission stage.
- Accepted Payment Methods: Major international credit and debit cards and selected secure digital payment options.
- Currency: Fees are typically displayed in USD. Banks may apply local currency conversion rates and international transaction charges.
- Confirmation: A payment receipt is issued via email once the transaction is processed.
Payment failures often result from:

Refund Conditions
- The Laos immigration authorities charge the visa cost, which is non-refundable.
